Overview This two-part, post graduate level certificate program is designed to help leaders develop the critical performance coahcing skills to help individuals and teams reach their full capacity and perform at peak performance levels. Participants will acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies associated witht he best practicing coaches who excell at their abilities to birng out the best in others through application of proven coahcing principles and techniques. This program includes understanding the assessment process, how to work better at solving their won problems, how to improve moitvation and energy levels, and how to help others work efficiently despite high levels of change and stress. A primary objective of this program is to provide attendees with practical skills and techniques that they can apply to their own work environments. The program is alos suited for internal and external consultants who want to excel in being top level executive coaches. Program Descriptions: PC010: One-on-One Leadership: Coaching and Counseling Skills This program provides the concepts and tools on being able to improve levels of performance and foster a more productive work environment. Participants learn to apply principles of one-on-one leadership, coaching, and counseling. This program includes assessments, practice exercises, and feedback sessions with program faculty. Topics covered include how to diagnose developmental needs; how to maintain a flexible leadership style and adapt to the situation; helping your staff memebers solve their own problms; working with the poor performer and the problem person; the eight-step coaching model; planning one-on-one coaching; and implementing plans for improved performance. PC020: Coaching High Performance Teams The best teams stand out in any professional field because of the talents drawn from by their coaches. Learn how to develop the skills, talents, and capabilities of teams for enhanced performance outcomes. At this hands-on program you learn how the best leaders move beyond basic team-building concepts and experiences, and how they avoid the common pitfalls that prevent teams from reching their highest levels of performance. This program includes project team work focusing on solving real issues, problems, or oportunity areas in attendee's working environment by applying concepts and tools introduced in the program. Attendees will e afforded benefits of extending project work into the work place between the blocks. The program also includes support via ongoing communication ad coaching from program faculty throughout length of the program. Program Certification: All programs are certified by the Institute for Leadership and Global Education(ILGE) for post-graduate-level program content and by faculty qualified to present at Post Graduate University-level standards. All program attendees completing full requirements of the program will receive a Certificate of Acquired Competencies in each program area. In conformity with the guidelines established by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, these programs are authorized for Continuing Education Units(CEUs) and are recognized by vairous professional associations for meeting professional education yearly requirements. CEUs are awarded only on satisfatory completion of program requirements with 1.0 CEU unit awarded for every 10. 0 hours of instruction.
